Adding Phantom Screens to my Exterior Doors

Published on April 30, 2025

Your home isn’t just for living, it’s a reflection of your style and personality. With so many options and inspiration available, finding the right fit is something everyone can do. If you find yourself still searching for that perfect piece to complete the look, your answer may just be “light”. Adding French doors that extend out to your back garden or patio, not only adds light and fresh air but is a classic piece that never goes out of style.

Can French Doors Replace Sliding Doors?

Your doorway in and out to your patio, porch or deck might be an afterthought, but there are a ton of opinions on which door type is right for you. Whether you just moved in or are looking for a refresh the thought of replacing sliding doors with French doors might have crossed your mind. Taking in the factor of size and shape of your opening may very well be a great way to spice up a space. Just remember that French doors swing open, which means you could be taking up square footage in your living space.

Do Exterior French Doors Have Screens?

Never be concerned that a Phantom Screen won’t fit on your door. Even with French doors, we can easily fit a screen with your preferred mesh type. We’ll simply mount your screen on the right or left hand side of the opening so that the screens meet in the middle, just like your French doors. This is a great option to keep the style while letting in the fresh air.

Phantom Screens come in various color and mesh options to perfectly fit your style and needs. They’ll blend seamlessly into your home’s decor and aesthetic while being functional. The perfect solution to a bug-free space while conserving the looks.
